TPRS successfully negotiates the affective filter to provide students with scaffolding comprehensible input in natural order.. is that a mouthful? here's a translation:

STORYASKING involves people in a lively storytelling process that makes it easy to learn more language.. the stories create meaningful contexts that help learners build on what they know and then learn more.. most of all, it's fun!

TPRS got its name from TPR and was first called "Total Physical Response Storytelling".. then it changed its name to "Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling". This may be a branding problem that may retard acceptance of a great method.. would it be easier for people just to call it "Storyasking?"
