links make the internet work.. the basic tool of linking is called "hypertext".. ".html" means "HyperText Mark-up Language".. html lets you explain anything clearly in one place, then link information together.. linking web pages lets you learn more about words or phrases and how they are used in context..

a link usually leads to a definition (and discussion) of a wiki "article" or "title".. a link can also lead to any webpage on the internet, like chunk or google..

the TPRS listserve has over 80,000 messages on it, but very few links.. this makes it hard to use, because valuable information can get buried, questions are often repeated, there's no single point of truth where things are clearly defined by the group.. that's one reason to provide this storyasking wiki: it's a better tool because it's very easy to make links
